This 20th anniversary production for the arts and science non-profit Projects for a New Millennium was a tremendous multifaceted performance that illustrated the geological history of Earth through dance, light, lasers, projections, and sound. The production was a collaboration with over two dozen artists from across the US.
Personal involvement included crafting narrative and outreach; coordinating stage, volunteer, and crew outreach; securing consultants, food, insurance; artist contributions and collaborations; and overall project management.
The production’s intention was to inspire wonder and attention to one’s surroundings.
The show was met with critical acclaim, published in five independent periodicals for its artistic achievements, and reviewed on two NPR stations.
The performance was truly transformative. Terra Tractus was made possible by the vision and leadership of the late Joy Wulke, artist and mother, and Jamie Burnett, light artist and friend.
